BROOKLYN, NY. – August 10, 2018 – NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, welcomes L'entramise - designers and manufacturers of recyclable single-use tablewares. The company launched in April 2017 as a direct to consumer website, selling the chicest curated selection of single-use tablewares - designing and manufacturing in-house recyclable plastic goods and sourcing supplemental products such as compostable linens and Ecolabel tapered candles. At their first NY NOW show, the L'entramise team will be showcasing their unique offering of recyclable plastic single-use plates and bowls. Widely received as "too good to be single-use", their plates and bowls mimic ceramicware. The Co-Founders, Alison and Allison are former fashion publishing and independent marketing alumnae, spare no expense when it comes to the aesthetics. "We are not just selling you a functional product - we are selling you a beautiful product, a lifestyle, and a brand". Their mission to reinvent the recyclable plate hasn't come without hiccups - to name a few "we spent way longer than we wanted to in the development stage, and had several failed attempts with our printing processes". They also both gave birth to beautiful baby girls, seven hours apart, just two months after they launched - and no, they did not plan it. "Being seven months pregnant when receiving our first inbound pallets, was fun", the founders laugh. Their drive and determination as business owners, women, and mothers, have paid off tremendously though and they wouldn't change a thing. With a loyal following of web driven direct-to-consumer customers, including event planners and caterers - the team has been busy over the past year. But of course, they are looking to grow. "We have just signed on as a white label company with Wayfair, and will soon be available on Amazon", say the founders. "In 2019 we hope to grow our wholesale business - we are currently available in a handful of boutiques in the United States and Canada, but we haven't done a big push just yet", add Alison and Allison. They also receive sponsorships requests almost daily - "we just did a great partnership with AndNorth and Veuve Clicquot . . . the event was beautiful", supply bloggers/influencers with product for shoots almost weekly, and have been published in Martha Stewart Weddings, MyDomaine, Brit + Co, and British Vogue, to name a few.
They have recently sold out of their hand-drawn designed printed plates - and are in production for their next set of exclusive prints. "We follow a fast-fashion type of model, so to speak. You won't see the same print season after season - even though we get lots of requests for restocks. We want to keep it fresh and relevant. We are obsessed with the new floral print and think it will sell out rather quickly - but that's what keeps it exciting for us", says the founders. They believe 2019 will be a very big year in terms of expansion - growing the team, their business, and their offerings.
