Oscar-Winning Film FLOW Inspires New Jewelry Collaboration with Designer Serena Van Rensselaer
The acclaimed animated film FLOW, directed by Gints Zilbalodis launches a unique collaboration with New York-based jewelry designer Serena Van Rensselaer.
There is a quiet kind of storytelling in Serena Van Rensselaer’s work - one that resists spectacle in favor of intimacy. The result is a series of finely crafted, wearable sculptures that translate the film’s ethereal visual language into form.
Inspired by the film’s meditative storytelling and its exploration of connection, instinct, and the natural world, the collection translates FLOW’s themes into collectible works of art. The debut release features a series of hand-crafted animal figures central to the film’s spirit - including the Cat, Lemur, Dog, Capybara, and Secretary Bird - alongside a line of fluid, nature-inspired rings. Designed with organic lines that evoke water and movement, the rings include a standout piece featuring a cat delicately wrapped around the finger.
Each model is hand-carved by master artisan Aurelio Rivera, capturing the emotional subtlety and quiet beauty that define the film. More than accessories, these designs serve as talismans - subtle reminders of presence, connection, and the unseen forces that bind us.
This collaboration reflects a growing movement in cinema to expand storytelling beyond the screen, offering audiences new ways to engage with the art and emotion of a film. Thoughtfully designed to be worn, collected, and cherished, each piece embodies both craftsmanship and meaning.
A portion of all sales from the FLOW x Serena Van Rensselaer Jewelry Collection will benefit Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to animal rescue and advocacy.
