  About the Designer

  Designer Alice Woods founded ABW Designs on the belief that jewelry should tell a story. Growing up in Connecticut, she spent countless hours exploring her grandmother's trunks filled with elegant clothing from the 1920s and 1930s. Those treasured afternoons sparked a lifelong appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and the enduring connection between fashion and the stories we carry through generations.

  Years later, while preparing for a formal event, Alice found herself with the perfect dress but no jewelry that felt quite right. She rediscovered a strand of amber her mother had given her years before and transformed it into a new necklace. When strangers repeatedly asked where they could purchase it, she realized she had discovered more than a one-of-a-kind accessory—she had found the beginning of ABW Designs.

  Founded in Connecticut and now based in Charleston, South Carolina, Alice draws inspiration from the rich architectural, artistic, and cultural traditions of both New England and the American South.
