Martisse brings hand-modeled ceramic jewelry from Brazil to NY NOW: earrings, necklaces, chokers, bracelets and rings, in gold and silver finishes.

Hand-modeled ceramic, fired at 2264 ºF in a countryside studio in southern Brazil.
Every piece begins as raw Brazilian clay, sourced in Minas Gerais and shaped by hand. Color comes from natural oxides. The piece is fired at 2264 ºF (1240 ºC) — the temperature that vitrifies the clay and sets the color for good — and the gold and silver finishes are painted by hand and fixed in a third firing. Three passes through the kiln, one piece at a time.

Glossy ceramic with hand-painted gold details — every piece made by hand, no two alike.
Because each piece is shaped and fired on its own, no two are ever alike: even in a pair of earrings, each side carries its own variation in color and texture. Production is small-batch by design.
Designer Márcia Campetti spent 24 years in architecture until a passion for ceramics took over completely. She works from a countryside studio in southern Brazil, has shown at Brazil's leading fashion trade shows, and has taught roughly a thousand students. Her pieces already travel to France, Portugal, Germany, Italy and the United States.

83 styles, wholesale from $29 to $179.
