    FULL MOON COLLECTION’S SOPHISTICATED MYANMAR ITEMS ON TREND FOR 2018

    One-of-a-kind statement pieces and handmade accessories complement this year’s spotlight on authenticity

    Waterbury, VT December 2017— A touch of global influence is added to this year’s trend of authentic, cultural immersion with handcrafted items from Full Moon Collection’s sophisticated assortment of lacquerware and textiles. Now available to North American designers and retailers, these imports from local Myanmar artisans integrate world goods into residential and commercial design.

    Designers will find lacquerware’s distinctive shapes and rich colors balance nicely with the latest color palette of

    warm greens and browns, adding pops of reds, oranges, ambers, and blacks. With leather and natural stone surfaces important elements this year, these well-curated and unique lacquerware pieces and textiles provide an exotic yet authentic component.

    Waterbury, VT December 2017 — Sophisticated lacquerware is now available to North America interior designers and retailers with the introduction of handmade products from local artisans in Myanmar. Full Moon Collection imports decorative statement pieces as well as functional items, equally favored for contemporary and traditional décor. Crafted from native bamboo following centuries-old traditions, the lacquerware collection includes bowls, Soon-oke, trays, and cups richly decorated in reds, oranges, greens, and blacks. Designers will find lacquerware’s distinctive shapes and saturated colors integrate easily into home, commercial, and spa interiors, adding a global element and stylishness. Retailers will note the collection’s home accessories and tabletop products.

    The collection also celebrates textiles woven by hand on backstrap and floor looms in remote, indigenous villages. Time-honored ethnic designs and labor-intensive techniques yield matchless pure lotus and silk weavings for home and personal wear.
